Ystaas Electrical Service, LLC is owned and operated by Chad and Justin Ystaas, who grew up in North Dakota and now have the privilege of helping to advance the state’s electrical industry. Working out of company headquarters in Dickinson, N.D., Chad and Justin meet with clients to discuss projects and develop electrical solutions. Building exceptional-quality products and lasting relationships, Chad and Justin also provide staff with education, training and safety awareness to maintain a culture of safety.

Jerry Karsky - Project Foreman
Job satisfaction means everything to Jerry Karsky. Foreman at YES, LLC, Jerry has had a major part in getting some of our larger sites up and running near Dickinson, ND. Formerly a service technician in Sioux Falls, S.D., Jerry likes to have a plan and meet a goal at the end of the day,week, month and year. He appreciates the opportunity to work for an innovative company, and credits bosses Chad and Justin for being supportive and making his job and career satisfying. In the early 2000s, Jerry enrolled in the Electrical Technology Program at the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, N.D., and later attended the certified Apprenticeship Training Program and received his Journeyman electrician license. Jerry and his wife, Alissa, have two children and enjoy spending time outdoors. Jerry also likes to golf and hunt pheasants.
Bobby Engle - Project Foreman
North Dakota is bursting with economic development and growth, and Bobby Engle wants to be a part of the progress. A native of Rogers, N.D., Bobby earned a degree in refrigeration, air conditioning and electrical technology from the N.D. State College of Science in Wahpeton, N.D., and works as a foreman for YES, LLC. Inspired by his father, who owns an electrical contracting company, Bobby has worked in the electrical industry for 14 years, and likes the challenge and variety of jobs, and the people he meets. When he’s not working for YES, LLC, or helping with his dad’s business, Bobby and his wife, Shannon, stay busy watching their three children grow. Bobby also takes advantage of North Dakota’s plentiful fishing and hunting opportunities.
Benjamin Ruppel - Project Foreman
A native of Central Maryland, Benjamin Ruppel brings 20 years of commercial/industrial electrical experience to YES, LLC. Starting his career as an electrician after graduating high school in 1993, Ben obtained his apprenticeship through Associated Builders and Contractors (Baltimore chapter) in 2000. He currently holds his master electrician license in 2 states, Maryland and West Virginia along with his journeyman’s license in North Dakota. In addition to his time working as an electrician in the US, Ben spent 12 months working for a defense contractor in Bagram, Afghanistan starting in 2010, and another 8 months in Kandahar, Afghanistan supporting the Defense Intelligence Agency starting in 2012. In his free time Ben enjoys hunting & shooting .
Robert Fleig - Project Foreman
Making a major move from Iowa to North Dakota to advance his career and family seemed risky to Robert Fleig. But after receiving a personal phone call from co-owner Chad Ystaas and learning about the YES, LLC business philosophy, projects and clients, Robert liked what he heard. He relocated to Dickinson, N.D., and was hired as an electrical project foreman in January 2014. Robert brings 30 years of experience to YES, LLC, with an emphasis in industrial construction. Having helped build factories, power plants and ethanol plants, Robert says North Dakota is a great place to be — especially as it continues to grow, and present challenges and opportunities for the YES, LLC team. On the job, Robert appreciates how his bosses give their foremen a lot of responsibility. In return, his skill and knowledge will help lead the company into the future. This summer, Robert is looking forward to moving his wife and son to North Dakota. In his spare time, he likes to hunt, fish, and is working on obtaining his private pilot’s license.
Jeff Moulton - Foreman
The oil industry called — and Jeff Moulton answered. Jeff moved to North Dakota to pursue job opportunities in 2012 and joined YES, LLC in 2014. After researching potential employers, Jeff says he liked how the company focuses on its customers and families. Originally from Colorado, Jeff became an electrician in 1982. He earned journeyman status in 1989, and brings more than 30 years of experience to YES, LLC. As a foreman, Jeff works with key clients like Whiting Petroleum Corporation to meet their electrical needs. He also hopes to teach the company’s young apprentices, and turn them into quality journeyman. As western North Dakota continues to grow and evolve with the oil industry, Jeff says education and safety are the keys to a productive and quality workforce. Jeff and his wife, Deborah, live in Dickinson, where they enjoy fishing and spending time outdoors.
Heather Fagerberg - Project Engineer
Enticed by the opportunity to work for a cutting-edge electrical contractor with an appreciation for family, Heather Fagerberg joined the YES, LLC staff as project engineer and accountant. She handles all of the accounting functions and assists with daily operations and project controls including budgeting, scheduling and planning. With a master’s degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics and math from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Heather formerly worked as an accountant for one of northern Colorado’s leaders in development and investment. Now proud to call North Dakota home, she enjoys the diversity of projects at YES, LLC, and looks forward to helping the company grow. Heather and her husband, Tim, have two children who keep the couple busy with various sporting events. The family also enjoys spending time outdoors.
Megan Zander – Safety Coordinator
One of YES, LLC’s missions is to provide staff with education, training and safety awareness to maintain a culture of safety. Megan Zander, the company’s safety coordinator, plays a key role in managing all of the employees’ health and safety needs. A graduate of Minnesota State Community Technical College, Megan holds a degree in construction management. Hired by YES, LLC in May 2014, Megan hosts safety meetings, conducts onsite safety inspections, maintains employee records and updates safety manuals. Originally from Dickinson, N.D., Megan says she chose to work for YES, LLC, because she liked the company’s progressive management style and finds the electrical industry fascinating; in particular, the programmable logic controller. Growing up, Megan’s extended family worked in the construction industry — so working for an electrical construction company as an adult combines her history and interests. When she’s not at work, Megan likes to spend time outdoors, camping and hiking.
